Quick answers to questions you may have
What happens during a dermal filler appointment?
Following a consultation, small amounts of filler are carefully injected into targeted areas using fine needles or a cannula to enhance shape, volume, or contour. The appointment typically takes 30–60 minutes depending on the area treated.
Will the treatment hurt?
Most fillers contain a local anaesthetic to improve comfort, and numbing cream may also be applied. You may feel small pinches or pressure, but discomfort is usually minimal.
Is there any downtime?
There is little to no downtime, but mild swelling, redness, or bruising can occur and usually settles within a few days.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Longevity depends on the area treated, the product used, and your body’s natural metabolism. Results often last several months before a top-up may be desired.
