Quick answers to questions you may have
What happens during a dermaplaning treatment?
Your therapist will cleanse your skin before using a sterile surgical blade held at a precise angle to gently exfoliate the surface of the skin and remove fine facial hair. The treatment is painless and relaxing.
Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?
No, dermaplaning does not change the structure of your hair. It will grow back at the same rate, texture, and colour as before.
Is there any downtime?
There is no real downtime. Your skin may look slightly pink immediately after, but this usually settles within a few hours.
How often should I have dermaplaning?
Most clients book every 4–6 weeks to maintain smoothness and keep their skin looking fresh and radiant.
Aftercare Instructions
To protect your skin and maximise results:
Apply SPF daily, as freshly exfoliated skin can be more sensitive to the sun
Avoid exfoliating products, retinols, or active skincare for 3–5 days
Keep skin hydrated with a gentle moisturiser
Avoid heat treatments (saunas, steam rooms, hot showers) for 24 hours
Avoid heavy makeup for the rest of the day if possible
Do not pick or exfoliate the skin while it settles
Your skin will feel smoother immediately, with a healthy glow that continues to improve over the following days.
